This is a beautiful area surrounded by trees. There are a few different trails ranging from handicap accessible to intermediate difficulty. They have maps at the info center and the trails all have signs so you don’t get lost. I brought my dog for a long walk. There is enough room and the trails are smooth enough that you can run most of it if you want.

Nice place to pull off for a short hike with nice views. We had lunch using one of the picnic tables. Right at the edge of Cloudcroft.
Our favorite hike in the area. Mostly shady with some elevation changes, but a moderate hike for most. Clean bathrooms and s great area for a post hike picnic.
Developed Forest Service day-use area on the western edge of the village of Cloudcroft. A reasonably new area, it contains a number of well-maintained picnic sites and offers easy access to a number of trails, including one to the titular Mexican Canyon Trestle. Beautiful forested area and good views.
