Amazing campgrounds, the staff is very welcoming and respectful, although it's important to note that you will be camping near other people, the fee is $20 for one can on one ground or $29 for two cars on one camp ground, quiet time starts at 10 pm and you CAN NOT make your own fire ring, you have to use the metal ones provided. Otherwise, the experience was great! I suggest taking a camp ground outside the ring and not in the middle, otherwise you will hear people all night.
If i could give this zero stars i would. They need to post their rules and regs on the website for Silver Lake. Very disappointed that you can only fish from 6am to 8pm. If we would have known this we wouldn't have wasted a trip. We will never ever go there ever again. As far as the camping areas they were ok but just ok. No more tribal lakes for us.
I picked this location knowing that they had restrooms and showers. The showers are only at one of sites and costs $5. There are plenty of restrooms which are vault style restrooms. The campground hosts are there to sell you firewood and answer any questions. I found mine to be quite delightful. There are camping units which are $20 a night where each unit gets a picnic table and a fire pit. There are reserved units for handicap but I couldn't tell what the difference is other than it's probably easier to get to the picnic table if in a wheelchair. You can have up to 8 people in one unit. If you take a second car it's only another $9. So a family with two cars may opt for that instead of two units. There was room for a truck and fifth wheel if you want to so that. If you have an RV there is a site nearby specific to RV's and has a dump station. The only thing missing is electrical hookups. If you can survive without electricity then this is a great quiet spot that's nice and cool.
Very nice and quiet here versus listening to Spanish music till the wee hours of the morning at silver lake. Lots of rules here and no loud music, very friendly people here.
Quiet, clean, and beautiful. There were plenty of bird varieties, Chipmunks, squirrels, deer, and elk. I didn't see a bear..and I wasn't sorry. Plenty of hiking trails, windy roads for bicycle riding, enough nature for all the Zen you could handle. This is the campground with the showers, always a bonus. I stayed here in July, and it was always quiet by nine. Lovely.
